If you live with kids you will know how important it is for them to have their own space. A room to call their own.  This will probably serve multiple purposes as bedroom, play room, adventure playground, study (when and IF you can get them to do their homework!), and chill out zone.

It’s important therefore, that the furniture in your child’s room is functional, sturdy, and above all else, fun! After all, as your child grows they will probably spend more and more time in that room, building tents, playing secret games or vegging out in front of a games console or DVD. Your child’s room is their kingdom so it should be furnished right.

Apart from the obvious wardrobe, bed, storage, and desk (a must for older kids), an invaluable addition to any child’s room is a bean bag chair. In fact I would go so far as to say that bean bags are a must in any family household.

Smaller children can clamber on them safely and jump on them. And even if they spill their juice on it, or stomp muddy footprints on it, your average beenbag will either have a washable cover (heaven!) or will at least be wipeable. They are virtually indistructable!

Bigger kids and teens will enjoy sprawling on a bean bag sofa or chair in their own space. Did you ever see a teenager sit properly on solid furniture? They just aren’t wired that way! Where better to defeat their foes on the Xbox 360 or discuss the very latest fashion accessories and just how hot is Zac Efron!? than slouched comfortably on a squidgy bean bag.

The other benefit to us, of course, is that bean bags are cheaper than most other furniture and come in such a wide variety of shapes and designs that even the pickiest pre-teen can be satisfied.
