The credit crunch is well and truly upon us. These are hard times for everyone. I don’t care who you are or what job you do, you have to admit that things are looking bleak financially. If you have savings then the interest rate dropping isn’t doing you any favours. And if you don’t have savings then you are probably scraping along like me!

We are still a single income family. My other fraction has been offered not 1 but 2 jobs in the last week but until he starts them and gets through that probationary period, and we know that the company isn’t about to go to the wall, we have to take NOTHING for granted. So the belts remain tight and are getting tightened further.

This is where voucher codes come in so wonderfully handy! As I have mentioned in recent blogs, it is Witchling 10’s birthday in a few days. She wants the moon on a stick, and a bike and a trampoline! How am I supposed to afford that then? Well now that I have discovered the magic of the voucher code it won’t be as bad as I had first thought. I can shop on line (while my other fraction surfs for a shed!) and when I find the right High School Musical trampoline in Argos I can order it using a discount code. Genius!

I might even get myself a little something while I’m there. I think I deserve it for going without my daily fix of soy hot chocolate with whipped cream and flake for over 2 weeks now, don’t you?
