We are finally getting around to sorting the Witchlings bedrooms out. Witchling 11 needs her own room and Witchling 13 is climbing the walls not being able to get her own space.
Part of the refit for the Witchlings rooms will involve shopping for office furniture. From September both girls will be at secondary school. That means an increase in homework and more need for a quiet space to do it. So they will need a desk each and a suitable chair as well as good lighting and plenty of room for files and books and pens and all the other clutter that seems to congregate on kids desks.
If our house was big enough I would have a home office for myself too. It would be somewhere to escape from the Wii and the xBox and Hannah Montana, which seems to be on continuous loop. I might get some work done then! Sadly this is not to be.  So instead I am determined to create little offices for the Witchlings in their new rooms.
If you are looking for office furniture for your children it can be a bit of a challenge to find furniture that is both functional and funky.  Traditional office furniture tends to come in shades of black and grey and can look out of place in the bedroom of a pretty princess!
Handily, Witchling 13 is a bit of a goth/emo chick at the moment so a black office chair and a black desk will look great in her new purple and black bedroom.
Witchling 11 is a bit more of a challenge as she is a pink and pretty girl who loves flowers and anything the colour of candyfloss!  Lucky for me it is now possible to get pink office chairs and I have managed to get her a pink egg shaped desk to fit in with her pop princess room.
