When adults make the decision to become parents or find themselves unexpectedly in that position the sooner they realise that becoming a parent is a full time job, the better. It is not something that anyone should enter into without thinking about carefully.
As soon as your little baby comes in to the world you immediately start thinking about them instead of yourself and putting them first in every aspect of your life. Babies and children require constant love and attention throughout their lives. As a parent it is your responsibility to be on hand for all their needs.
Personally I have a lot of admiration for parents who still manage to hold down a full time job and raise a family. It takes a lot of hard work, effort and organisation to make sure family life runs smoothly on a day to day basis.
You have to cope with the pressures of work, as long with the pressures which go hand in hand with parenting. Not only is it a case of juggling your time, there is the added pressure of finances, and this is one of the reasons so many parents have no choice but to go back to full time work soon after becoming parents.
Parenting is a joy, and a gift that unfortunately not everyone is lucky enough to experience, and until you become one, you will not know what you have let yourself in for, but be prepared to give it your all, and do not under estimate that it is most definitely a full time job!
