OK so it’s raining. This is August in the UK so what’s new!? The TV is turning your little people into square eyed zombies and there’s not a lot to do. Time to make some playdough and have some fun! Young and old alike, kids of all ages love to sculpt and mould and get creative with brightly coloured dough. So why pay ridiculous prices when you can make your own play dough for a rainy Sunday, that will last and last in a zip lock sandwich bag or Tupperware container.
Ingredients:
• 8oz flour
• 4oz salt
• 1 tablespoon of oil
• 1 tablespoon of cream of tartar
• 8 fluid oz boiling water
• food colouring*
What to do:
Throw all the dry ingredients into a large bowl and mix together with the food colouring, boiling water and oil to form wonderfully squidgy dough.
*For a really rich and fruity smelling purple dough, use 3 blackcurrant bracer teabags in the water! It makes the dough smell heavenly!
