The Witchlings are away. They have gone to stay with Grandma for the summer holidays so that I can work full time.  Sadly, Grandma lives a little over 60 miles away and that makes it difficult to see them.

They are going to be away for around 4 weeks, and while I know that lots of children go to boarding school for a lot longer than that at a time, it doesn’t make it any easier for me or for them to be separated.

Luckily I have the best mum and dad in the world and they have always made the witchlings feel at home with them. They have their own room and their own things there. They even still have their dolls house and tea set there, which they still play with (and fight over) despite being ‘far too old’ for such things when they are at home.

Part of their grand adventure with Grandma will be a lovely holiday on the Welsh coast. There are plans to snorkel and swim and to go up mountains and generally have the time of their lives.

Me? I will be redecorating their rooms and getting the house all beautified ready for them to come home at the beginning of September.

I miss them already.
